General application requirements

BSc or BA (or equivalent primary degree) well above average in Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, Agricultural or Forest Sciences, Geography, Political Sciences, Sociology, Law, Economics, Ethnology, International Cooperation, Development Studies, Nature Conservation, Land Use Planning, Natural Resource Management, among others.

Your average grade / GPA from the Bachelor must be equivalent to minimum 2.5 or better, under the German Degree System (1.0 max – 4.0 pass). We use the Bayerische Formula to convert international grades .
- English language skills on level C1 according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
We accept the following certificates:
TOEFL iBT Home Version or in-center, minimum score: 95
IELTS Academic in-center or online, minimum band 7
Cambridge Certificates: CEA or CEP C1
Pearson Academics: minimum score: 76
TOEFL certificates cannot be older than 2 years. For the other certificates there is no such limit.
Exemptions:
Native English speakers are exempted from a language proof.
Applicants who followed their entire university studies in English in an English speaking country (US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) or in a country where English is the official language are exempt from requiring English proof in their application.

Regulations for selection
The MEG is a programme with restrictive admissions. The selection of applicants is determined by the Selection Statutes . As this is a legal document it is provided only in German. For your understanding we made a summary in English and in easy language.
