Territory and Biocultural Ancestral Medicine of the Kamëntsá Biya People

This unique conversation-workshop will be facilitated by Loly Nereida Juajibioy Muchachasoy (sociologist, gender and human rights specialist) and Taita Carlos Juajibioy Jacanamejoy (traditional doctor and spiritual authority of Tabanok). Together, they will guide participants through the worldview and biocultural practices of the Kamëntsá Biya people, an Indigenous community in the Andean-Amazonian foothills of southern Colombia.
Combining participatory methodologies—including body mapping and Participatory Action Research (PAR)—the session will explore the relationships between body, land, and knowledge from a community feminist perspective.
