Debate on "Value-Free Science"

The module Environmental Policy Analysis was guested by Dr. Ida Wallin who is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair for Forest and Environmental Policy. She moderated a debate amongst the MEG students about the value of science, more specifically the assessments of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The students were asked to position themselves to a statement of the elimination of non-scientists in the procedure of IPCC Assessment Reports and to discuss ways to restore trust in the panel's conclusions. The stance of the objectivists was represented by Anne, Camila, Sandra, while Gabriela, Nadia, Aleksandra argued from the position of the relativists.
